So how much faster is the RTX 3080 than the RTX 2080? On the following pages you can read the specific scores for each game and benchmark as well as see what settings we used (in most cases the highest possible). For those of you who want a quick view however here is a few tables showing how the Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle OC compares to the Asus RTX 2080.
Let’s start at 10920×1080. At this resolution we do expect that the CPU becomes a limiting factor in some cases. This is definitely the case with Wolfenstein Youblood. In the other cases the RTX3080 is between 11 – 30% faster. Not bad.
As we step up to 1440p the situation changes, Now the RTX3080 is between 20 – 72% faster. Impressive!
It is at 4K that the RTX 3080 really shines. We are looking at between 70 – 115% higher frame rates. Basically the card is in some cases double as fast as the RTX 2080 when playing at 4K.
