Final Thoughts
The Kingston MobileLite Wireless G2 is a game changing device, there are other similar devices on the market but this one provides a range of functionality that just can’t be beat for under $50 (The Egg $47.99 free shipping).  The small MobilLite Wireless G2 can extend your WiFi range, provide WiFi access to Flash drives, self-powered 3.5 inch External Drives, 2.5 inch external drives requiring less than 400mA and support SD/SDHC/SDXC and microSD/SDHC/SDXC.  The innocuous device can fill a WiFi Media Servers role, WiFi File server, WiFi hot spot and charge your cell phone up to two times depending on how power-hungry your cell phone is.
I attached Flash drives, 3.5 inch externals, 2.5 inch externals. microSD ran all those on computers, 4 cell phones and two tablets all without so much as a hiccup.
There was a little initial trepidation at the lack of instructions and have let Kingston know that I believe a short Quick start guide was in order. I also suggested port covers for the open ports. Â During the back and forth with the Kingston people I suggested a Deluxe model with Carry bag/case, microSD, port covers and a USB wall charger. I would expect those things to increase the base price of $47.99 a bit but Kingston could probably pull it off for around $55 a small amount and well worth the price bump.
The Kingston MobileLite has earned a place on the test bench, in my briefcase and yes at times coat pocket. The cell phone charger function earns it carry along status by itself, the WiFi and Media Server Mobile hot spot functions earn it a place in history. Â This device and devices like it may very well carry us to a new generation of personal data access.
Please note a Quick start guide is being included in future MobileLite Wireless G2’s!
*1 I consider the Bang for buck and Seal of approval combination to be above a single Gold award and this is the first product I have ever dual awarded.

The Kingston MobileLites' Wireless G2's Bundle was a little Sparse but what it lacks in bundle it makes up for in functionality. I would recommend (and have recommended) the Wireless G2 to anyone that wants WiFi access to extend storage, as a Media Server or File Server or simply to extend your WiFi signal to the corner of your man-cave (or Woman-cave).
