Star Wars Squadrons

A game I’ve been waiting for was release just as I was testing these cards. Star Wars Squadrons promises to scratch that Tie Fighter vs X-Wing itch that I’ve had for many years. And while I only played some of the campaign and multiplayer games it looks like a great little game, epscieally in VT.

Unfortunately the game doesn’t seem to want to run with the tool OCCAT for me so I could not measure the high/low/average framerate. I did play some practice games against the computer with 2 enemy squadrns and watch the framerate displayed via Nvidia Geforce Experience and this is what I saw at 4K resolution and every set to the highest setting.

• Asus RTX2080: around 80 – 90 fps
• Gigabyte RTX3080 Eagle OC: around 140 – 180 fps
• Gigabyte RTX3090 Eagle OC: around 180 and upwards fps
