Testing & Conclusion
We spent copious time with the IOGEAR Chimera M2 and found it to be a more than capable gaming mouse and for the affordable price of $43.40 (free Shipping)Â you get a wired and wireless mouse. Now a decent wired mouse will often run you more than that so finding a dual sensor software supported mouse with 7 buttons and wireless capability is very surprising.
Gaming with the Chimera M2 was a snap the sharp crisp movements of the mouse with its 1000RPS was lag free and very precise. The ergonomic shape made for game play without hand or wrist fatigue and we were able to game for hours on end without wrist burn or finger cramps.
Across simple FB games we enjoyed the palm grip and the snappy response at lower resolutions. Kick the Chimera M2 up to a FPS game and we could adjust the DPI on the fly as needed for scanning the screen for enemies, lower the DPI for steadier head shots and run at 1500DPI for run and gun.
We didn’t find much not to like on the Chimera M2, it;s affordable, effective, macro programmable and has 7 buttons to fill your gaming needs. The price is right and you get more than an entry-level gaming mouse for an entry-level gaming mouse price.
