“To ‘Upgrade Your Life’ is the idea behind GIGABYTE”
Hello hardware enthusiast. We will now take a look at the the GIGABYTE GTX 950 Xtreme Gaming 2GB. As this is GIGABYTE’s flagship GTX 950 a quick glance at the feature list shows GIGABYTE has cut no corners when producing the Xtreme Gaming GTX 950 and the GPU includes a host of top shelf hardware. In the performance to value category the GTX 950 is king and GIGABYTE’s entry into this mainstream / entry level market certainly deserves consideration if you are currently updating your graphics capability. With a base core clock of 1203 MHz, a boost clock of 1405 MHz (standard:1026/1190), and a memory clock of 7000 MHz right out of the box the Xtreme Gaming GTX 950 is ready to handle all but the most demanding users needs at 1080p. Users will most certainly enjoy the inclusion of GIGABYTE’s WINDFORCE 2X Xtreme Cooling system which is sufficient to keep this card running nice and cool. Also sure to make users happy is the included backplate as well as LED lighting which generally are only found on higher end GPUs. The GIGABYTE GTX 950 Xtreme Gaming 2GB has some cool features we are eager to check out but first, let’s see what this value monster’s specifications chart and packaging look like.
The style and design on the revised Xtreme Gaming GTX 950 will go well with many different builds and the LED options add another level of build dynamic. We like the crisp cut design and neutral color palette.
Packaging
The box containing the Xtreme Gaming GTX 950 is much larger than is necessary but provides good real estate for product info.
Upon opening the box we are greeted with our sealed GPU in a safe foam bed, a case badge, and a DVI adapter. You will also find a User’s Manual and software CD.
