Lian Li is a company that isn’t afraid to test new things when it comes to computer cases. Some of you might remember the “Spider”-chassi or the “Train”-chassi. The DK01 prototype that was unveiled earlier this week is basically a desk with an acrylic table top and a drawer for the components.
The table measures 800 mm x 795 mm x 600 mm (WxHxD) and has room for a lot of nice toys. It can handle huge HPTX motherboards and thus can handled basically any other motherboard size you can think of. There is room for up to 14 3.5″ drives (yes, fourteen) and these sit in detachable bays. Removing some of the bays allows us to put in larger motherboards and longer add-on cards. As for PSU’s you can put in PUS’s up to 280mm length. Since the computer sits in a drawer there are som limitations to how high the CPU-cooler can be but the 180mm that are available should be enough. If you need cooling there is room for up to seven 120 mm fans. Of course you can use these spots for radiators too.
