Conclusion
There’s little about the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard we weren’t impressed with. The most impressive things we saw were the onboard 32-bit ARM Cortex processor and 8 MB profile with hardware macro and lighting playback. The price of $199.99 will set some people back on their heels, but if you want to treat yourself to some Corsair Flagship goodness the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard is probably the way to go. Once in hand and in-game the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard will spoil you for life. The luxurious feel and feeling of the keyboard make it worth the price and later this year you won’t have buyers remorse on this one.
Keystrokes were clean, fast and precise with 100% anti-ghosting efficiency. The 1.2mm actuation distance wasn’t a big factor for us, but the tactile feedback and precision of the keystrokes were. Literally everything we could ask for is included with the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard with one small exception. For $199.99 we would have liked to see a 3.5mm sound pass-through, but as we mentioned, 3.5mm is less an issue with USB headsets becoming the norm.
Corsair listened to its user base and the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard is a big hit. Look at it this way, you interact with the keyboard, mouse and monitor during your gaming hours. Why not maximize the pleasure of those hours with a Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard and take that almost unfair advantage and smash your opponents with it. Overkill is highly underrated so grab a handful of the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Mechanical Keyboard and excuse us while we fight over whose turn it is to game with it.
