Conclusion and final thoughts
The average driver statistically gets in an accident every 11 years; however the driver’s age, demographics and driving habits can impact this greatly. Also even the best drivers are not immune to accidents, as it typically takes 2 or more drivers to cause a crash, or depending on weather condition and or wildlife can also be a factor. So technology like dashcams can be instrumental to proving who is at fault or what caused the crash. Having video of what happened can be very important in assigning liability which is crucial to getting damages paid for and/or medical bills if you’re injured. We found the capability of being able to use up to a 64GB micro-SD card means that you can record at least a 24 hour loop on the highest setting which is more than adequate for normal everyday use and still gives you time to remove any video files considering it wont be recording all the time. PAPAGO! put a lot of thought into the installation and in our opinion that is clearly shown by the extra long USB power cable that allowed us to do a proper professional looking install. We were also pleased to see that the design of the user interface was intuitive and easy to use for even less tech savvy users. As result we would highly recommend the PAPAGO! GoSafe S30 since it offers the complete solution that practically anyone can setup and use.
The GoSafe S30 retails on and while this might seem expensive, you have to look at it from the perspective of what it could save you in the event of an accident that wasn’t your fault. So in the end it is a minor investment that can save you money if an accident occurs and will also allow you to capture some amazing scenery during a road trip. As a result we award the PAPAGO! GoSafe S30 our honorable Silver bear award.
