Conclusion

There is a lot to like about the Streacom F12C. Even though it offers support for big motherboards it still has a relatively normal foot print. It also has an interesting solution for the drives and fans which offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to installation. Last but not least it has a nice look that should make it fit amongst other stereo equipment, as long as they also are black.

Not all is good though. Yes, the new way to install drives and fans is cool but as we noticed it is not flawless and we did not completely get sold on the idea. The solution with the mesh and the metal frame could have been better executed since the frames are very easily bent and also easily comes off if you handle the case. The multitude of fan openings of course offers a lot of ventilation but also will allow noise to escape the case if you are not careful with the components.

Overall though this is a nice case and if you are after this type of case the Streaco F12C is well worth considering.
