Conclusion

Here at Bjorn3D we found the Creative Sound Blaster E5 to be a pure pleasure to test and review. During our time testing this product, we tested it utilizing several PC’s, a tablet and couple of smartphones. With each device, the E5 made the audio experience more enriching and showed us just how much impact a quality DAC can make on the listening experience. Throughout our lengthy testing of the E5, we here and Bjorn3D tried to find a flaw within the E5, but in the end we were extremely impressed with its design, performance, aesthetics, durability, software and features.  We were also extremely impressed with the versatility of the E5, and as a result, Bjorn3D awards the Sound Blaster E5 the legendary Golden Bear Award.

The Sound Blaster E5 comes in at $199.99 on Amazon and packs a lot of features for its price point. Overall, the E5 is competitively priced, considering its multitude of options and uses. We found it to be amazing that the user can use it as a USB sound card one minute, and the next be using it as a Bluetooth wireless receiver or be using both so that you never miss an important phone call while listening to or watching your media. We also found the E5 to be exceptionally durable during our testing when it withstood several drops. Also, being able to plug two headphones into the E5 we found to be a valuable feature. We also tested this device on a trip and the long battery life allowed two of us to watch several movies. The E5 proudly lives up to Sound Blaster’s legacy for audio excellence and builds upon it.
