Our Final Thoughts
MSI doesnt always need to reinvent the wheel to make things go, and sometimes maybe it just needs better rims. In this case the card is largely based on the reference design but with improved cooling capability for better off the shelf and overclockability.
The MSI Gaming edition card shows really good OC potential with some headroom left on the table for those who wanna play around a bit, and lets not forget the software suite starting with Afterburner which is the tuning software of choice for many users myself included. The MSI Gaming app allows quick and easy overclocks of the card for users who simply dont have much experience tuning so that they can get a free boost in performance with a simple press of a button.
The price point of the Gaming model is fair as its right around the reference price with a nice out of the box boost and an excellent cooling solution.
If you are a gamer looking for a 780 Ti and top end gaming performance I could safely recommend MSI’s Gaming edition 780 Ti card to fully fit your extreme gaming needs.
