Nvidia DLSS 2.0 and the Nvidia RTX2060-Max Q

Deliver Us the Moon (DLSS 2.0)

Deliver Us The Moon is a Sci-Fi thriller set in an apocalyptic near future, where Earth’s natural resources are depleted. A lone astronaut is sent to the moon on a critical mission to save humanity from extinction.

This game has support for both ray tracing and DLSS 2.0 and is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately OCCAT crashes with ray tracing turned on so I had to look at the fps counter that can be added via GeForce Experience.

While I only played for about an hour I saw that with ray tracing set to Epic and everything else set to Epic, at 1080p I saw frame rates around:

  • 50-60 fps with DLSS turned off
  • 80+ fps with DLSS set to Quality.

Let’s look a bit closer on some images.

LEFT: No DLSS, RIGHT: DLSS Performance

Zooming in closer you notice that with DLSS Performance some details are softer.

LEFT: No DLSS, RIGHT: DLSS Quality

I don’t really see any difference between No DLSS and DLSS Quality. And as we saw before, the frame rate increases a lot with DLSS.
