ASUSTOR has announced their latest 10 series NAS. The latest addition, the AS1002T and the AS1004T, features the first ASUSTOR NAS that utilizes ARM architecture. The 10 series models are powered by Marvell 1.0 GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of memory. The unit features hardware encryption engine with rated read and write speed of 110 MB/s and 96 MB/s, respectively. ARM based NAS are known for their power efficiency and low noise-level where the 10 series is rated with 19 decibels of noise during system standby.
As a unique touch, these models features diamond plate finish to give them a modern look. In addition, it features convenient tool-less design that utilizes hand screws so that users can easily remove the outer cover to install hard drive. The unit also comes with one Gigabit ethernet port, one front USB 3.0 port and one rear USB 3.0 port.
