As far as air cooler goes, you probably cannot find one that is as big and performs as well as the Noctua NH-D14. If you want the best air cooler for overclocking, that would be the one we recommend. Well, soon you may be able to pick its successor, the NH-D15. Compare to the NH-D14, the NH-D15 still retains the same dual vertical heatsinks design with capability of supporting up to three fans. With the new heatsink, the fin stack has been widened to 150mm (hence the name D15) to allow more uniform heat distribution.
The new heatsink will also be equipped with the NF-A15 fan with PWM support and the ability to adjust maximum RPM from 1500 to 1200 with the included low-noise adapter. The cooler will continue to use Noctua SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system so you can use it with a wide variety of boards from Intel and AMD. It will come with Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound and is backed by full 6 year warranty. The NH-D15 is already available to be purchase at retail price of USD $99.90.
