Installing a new videocard is usually one of the easiest upgrades you can perform, and the PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX 580 8GB was no different. One thing to be sure of is that your PSU is capable of handling the wattage requirements of not only the videocard being installed, but the rest of the system hardware as well.
OVERCLOCKING
While the Red Devil comes from PowerColor with a factory overclock on the GPU of 1380MHz, we worked to push it further, hoping to at least attain Golden Sample speeds. While we initially used the Radeon Settings WattMan application to adjust our card, we wound us utilizing MSI Afterburner for a bit more control over settings. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to keep a stable overclock matching the 1425MHz of the Golden Sample, but we did reach 1415MHz on the GPU. With our boost clock set as high as we could get it, we moved on to the GDDR5, which comes to us running at 2000MHz. We were able to successfully push the limits of the memory, and reach a stable 2250MHz.
The product really is a value for money,
Ok so there’s 2 power connector pins. DO you have to plug in both or are they just options and can use either one?
Both the 6-pin and 8-pin are required, along with a minimum of a 550 watt power supply.
Can someone please help me with the Voltage Controller Model Name/Number. I Am trying to make the GPU Core voltage displayed in MSI AfterBurner
