The yellow switch version Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 happened to surprise me as I have really been quite a fan of Cherry MX Brown and Blue keys. As someone who often plays with my friends via voice chat on Discord and TeamSpeak, I found that I could enjoy a mechanical keyboard with fewer complaints about the racket I was making on my keyboard. The keyboard sure looked great on my desk with my Razer Orbweaver Chroma in all their RGB waves of color. Selection of Input devices is something that is a very important choice since it is the main way in which you are interacting with your computer.  Using the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 really made my gaming sessions enjoyable which is by far what I am looking for first off in a gaming keyboard.

Gameplay was smooth and the macro setups that I tried out worked flawlessly for me. The ability of Chroma Apps to have integration with games that I play and future games makes this a definite selling point for keeping things interesting while gaming. The 1000Hz Ultra Polling definitely makes this a great choice for those who want to have the best weapon for your gaming. I had never used a Razer keyboard before and I can say that I have a far better appreciation for why Razer has such a massive fanbase. The Synapse software is one of the best maintained that I have seen for gaming peripherals and you rest assured that software support for your purchase will be there now and in the future.

The yellow switches for me sure did take a bit of a learning curve after using tactile Cherry Brown switches for so long. This is a very easy learning curve and learning where the actuation happens is pretty easy. If you are not bottoming out the keys then they are really quiet but bottoming out will definitely make a lot more noise. My friends that I play with were definitely happy with the reduced amount of extra click-clacking that I was making. The yellow switch is the best choice for anyone who wants a BlackWidow Chroma V2 but is also concerned about how much noise they will be making.

 

 

It is easy to see why so many gamers look to Razer first and use the brand exclusively. If you are looking for a good looking keyboard that will be both beautiful and useful for your gaming then the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 is an excellent choice.
