Final Thoughts & Conclusion
Having spent a couple of weeks with the Sound Blaster ZxR we’ve come to know its capabilities which extend far beyond the playback of music, gaming and video playback. The software included is studio quality, and recording and mixing is limited only by the equipment attached to the Sound Blaster ZxR.
There’s more to a sound card than just the components used; to have the maximum effect on an end-user it also has to have the “this is it” feeling and the Sound Blaster ZxR has that “this is it” look, feel, and sound. Once you get it in your hands and in your machine, your thoughts turn to better speakers, HTPC use, and channeling your different devices through the Sound Blaster ZxR. Thanks to the thought put into the design, you have nearly endless options for running sound from, and through, the ZxR.
If you’re looking for best case scenario, audiophile quality from a computer sound card, you need to look no further than the Sound Blaster ZxR! There’s no buyers remorse here. We’ve listened to the little brothers Sound Blaster spawned, the Zx and Z models, and Sound Blaster has done a great job with all three post-X-Fi sound cards, but the Sound Blaster ZxR is the only one we would consider “studio grade”.
With cleaner and clearer sound than any sound card we have experienced, we would say the Sound Blaster ZxR is the top sound card on the PC market at this time, and if you want to experience the best it’s . Creative’s Sound Blaster ZxR is a sound card that more than deserves the Bjorn3D Golden Bear Award.

Creative and Asus really need to up the game with audio cards. I have a onboard realtek and still has great sound. The drivers are sometimes hit or miss. The main thing is that they continue to release drivers. Whereas Creative and Asus have drivers that are usually 2 years old.
