Micron Announces Tactical Tracer DDR4 RGB Gaming Memory

Micron just announced the latest addition to the Ballistix brand of memory. The latest addition joins the existing Tactical series apt aptly named Tactical Tracer DDR4 RGB. As you can expect the Tactical Tracer is designed for gamer and enthusiasts in mind where the DRAM features stylish black PCB and custom heat spreaders.

The Tracer DDR4 RGB in the name implies that the RAM will have RGB lightning that users can also customize with the Ballistix (Memory Overview Display) M.O.D. software. The software also provides real time memory temperature for your overclocking needs. The DRAM also features removable top bar and available design files allow users to customize and 3D print unique options so you can customize the RAM. Having removable top bar also would let overclockers to have more space around the CPU area so you can mount larger CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-D15.

The Tracer DDR4 RGB will be available in speed starting 2666 MT/s though we do not have the information on the top speed will be available. The memory will be available in Q3 of 2017 and no pricing is available yet though we expect it to be priced similar to other RAM on the market.
