Synthetic Benchmarks
Unigine Heaven
Heaven Benchmark is a GPU-intensive benchmark that hammers graphics cards to the limits. This powerful tool can be effectively used to determine the stability of a GPU under extremely stressful conditions, as well as check the cooling system’s potential under maximum heat output. It provides completely unbiased results and generates true, in-game rendering workloads across all platforms.
Now on the charts we’ve had running for a while we are leaving the more powerful GPU’s on them but you have to understand the GTX 950 is a Mainstream offering and most of our GPU’s are enthusiast. The EVGA GTX 950 SSC came in less than a FPS ahead of the FTX EVGA model so for GTX 950’s we are seeing a tie but what is amazing is that the GTX 960’s came in just 3ish frames per second ahead. From what we’ve seen of GTX 950 so far it’s a little FPS churning tank.

3DMark Testing
Fire Strike
Fire Strike is a DirectX 11 showcase benchmark designed for today’s high-performance gaming PCs. It is our most ambitious and technical benchmark ever, featuring real-time graphics rendered with detail and complexity far beyond what is found in other benchmarks and games today.
On Firestrike the EVGA GTX 950 SSC came in just a hair behind the EVGA GTX 950 FTW model which is to be expected as the FTW model has a slightly faster core clock.
3DMark Skydiver
3DMark Sky Diver is a DirectX 11 benchmark for gaming laptops and mid-range PCs. Use 3DMark Sky Diver to benchmark systems with mainstream graphics cards, mobile GPUs, or integrated graphics.
Coming into 3DMark Skydiver the EVGA GTX 950 SSC dropped a 23225 score and it’s snuggling up to the GTX 960 pack which ran a couple of thousand points ahead of the GTX 950’s which isn’t really that much lead.
